Q. When am I responsible for the goods?
Once checked in and signed for, customers are responsible for breakages and loses which will be charged at full replacement costs.
Q. What happens if some of the equipment gets damaged?
Any equipment returned damaged will be charged for at full repair/replacement cost.
Q. Do I need to pay a deposit?
We only require a cash deposit when the goods are not being home delivered or paid for in cash. When picking up goods from our premises, a €100.00 cash or valid credit card deposit is required.
Q. How long is the basic rental period?
Hire periods are for 48hours. Longer periods can be arranged.
Q. What are the delivery charges?
Delivery charges depend on the size of your order. For example, Party at home customers (only within counties Mayo, Galway, Sligo, Roscommon and Clare) ordering 1 keg will incur a €50.00 delivery charge. Where as a customer in Dublin ordering a full banquet bar installation with kegs and accessories can expect to pay around €130.00. We also offer a collection facility whereas customers can pick up all their party supply at our store in Oranmore, Galway at no extra cost. See our Delivery page for more details.
Q.Why are the Party at Home delivery charges so much cheaper than the wedding or events delivery charges?
The party at home delivery charges are set anywhere between €25 and €50. These prices reflect the amount of work involved in setting up the event. For instance, delivering a single keg installation takes 1 driver, approximately 20 minutes to complete, and involves only a small area of van space. Whereas setting up a wedding bar for 150 guests takes 1 or 2 vans for delivery, with 2-3 drivers working for anything up to 1 full day.
Q. What times do you deliver/collect equipment?
Standard delivery / collection times are between 9am – 9pm, Monday – Friday.
Requested delivery or collection outside of these times are subject to additional charges.
Q. What means of payment do you accept?
All Event bars orders can be paid for by cash, cheque, credit card, gold bouillon or chickens! Orders being delivered by pallet or courier, must be paid for in full before the goods are dispatch. Orders for home delivery must pay a booking deposit.
Q. Am I required to wash hired glasses?
No, glassware does not have to be returned clean, as we professionally clean all our glasses after each letting. However, please do empty all glasses of any foreign objects including cigarette butts, napkins, bottle caps, food, beverages and wildlife.
Q. What size are your ice bags?
Ice is supplied ready frozen in 2kg bags.
Q. How much gas do I need?
The rental of draught keg equipment includes the following quantities of gas:
Single unit – Enough to supply 2 kegs
Double unit – Enough to supply 3kegs
Treble unit – Enough to supply 4 kegs
For larger events, we leave an extra quantity of gas for all kegs.
Q. Does everything I hire have to be returned?
No. The following goods are consumables only and are not for returning: Banquet paper roll, plastic pint glasses, plastic ½ pint glasses, coasters, paper napkins, straws, cocktail stirrers and ice.
Q. Can I collect the bar units from your shop?
Yes & No. Some of our smaller bar units will fit in the back of a large family saloon. Banquet bars and Steelite bars on the other hand are very large and bulky. Due to the size, weight and expense incurred in the manufacturing of our custom made bars, we can only allow for a trained member of staff to transport them.
Q. Can I return an unopened keg to Event bars?
Yes, however, the kegs seal must be still 100% intact. For any cases of beers, spirits or wines, all cases and packaging must be perfect condition before we will accept them as sale or return goods.
- The Sale or return option is only available on large quantities of drinks. The offer of sale or return to clients is entirely at the discretion of Event bars management.
- A cash deposit of €1,000.00 is required on all sale or return deals.
Q. Do you provide cash bars?
Event bars do not / will not operate cash bars, unless furnished with written confirmation from a client’s legal representative that an on-license has been officially transferred to the said venue for the said date.
Q. Does the hiring of your services require the signing of a contract?
No. By renting from Event Bars, our terms and conditions are automatically accepted by the customer.
